Second side went a little smoother:

Tires are completely worthless on packed snow and ice. Even worse than my BFG ATs. But man are they amazing in deep snow. Power is not bad at all on stock gears, it was not nearly as bad as I though it was going to be. It slowed it down a little, but I will have no issues dealing with it. Having a few rubbing issues, but not as bad as I thought either.

Had to test out my tires by busting out a few county roads. As you can see, the snow was about up to my knees:

I did get stopped trying to make it up a hill on another road though. I'll get a quick video for you in a bit.

There's a reason I have snow tires where I live....

These will be coming off soon enough, but now I know what they look like, and that they fit!

Looks really good. Siping them definitely helps. Any backspacing on your rims? Do they clear the UCA ok?

I'm runing them with 1.25" Spidertrax spacers and didn't have any issues. I know it makes rubbing worse for turning though. My 265/75's had plenty of clearnace to the UCA, but rubbed the frame at full lock.

Well shit.... If my math is correct I got 13.5 MPG this tank

Must be some combination of the big tires, winter gas, and the snow bashing. Up 'till now the worst I've gotten is around 15.

Oh, the good old days of stock and 20MPG...

    These arrived today:

    IMAG0518_zpsfa4k2lcm_6d59f5c43edb537a3f707d8e6dd665d0ce988dde.jpg

Bought them off a member here, but now I'm wondering if I was a little over-ambitious. Anyways, I probably be ordering stuff for the front to match sometime soon. Looks like 882s, with a 3/8th top plate spacer. So hopefully with that these 2" lift shackles will work out.

Then all I gotta do is wait for all the snow to melt...

Also looking for suggestions for longer rear shocks.

I guess between my Wheeler's 5 packs, AAL, and now 2" lift shackles, I should be around 5" of lift. Now, my topper and toolbox and crap probably lower that a solid inch, but regardless, I'll be in need of longer shocks.

you'll need 10'' shocks at least. 12'' ones to actually use the 2'' lift shackles.

I have the 5 packs, AAL, Skyjacker leaf and 1'' lift shackles for about 5'' lift and have 10'' shocks.

also im not sure getting the 3/8s spacer for the 882s will be needed at all.

I think what I'll end up doing it buying the 3/8 top plates, installing the longer studs when I put on the 882s, and see if I need them after that. It seems like there are quite a few people running some sort of top plate, or the OME 10mm lift enchancer, with 882s. Of course then we've got to see about how my 5100s screw everything up.

As far as the rear, like I said, I may or may not be keeping the schackles, depending on how much lift they give me, and how much lift I get out of the front, I may opt for a shorter shackle. But thanks for the input of the rear shocks!

I'd do the longer studs just to have them to cover your bases, but I don't think you'll need the top plate. I am not using it with the 882's. I'd wait on the plates as they are cheap and easy to install and after you do just the springs it'll be easier to determine what thickness, if any, that you may need.
Also, I have a couple 1/4" spacers and two 1/2" spacers that I'd send your way if you think you need them.

the shackles will give you a lot of lift..2'' about haha and tons of droop if you have the right length shock and setup to handle it.

That sounds like a good idea and I certainly appreciate the offer! I'm actually from Fort Collins originally and have lots of family down there, so I'm down there fairly often. I may let you now next time I'm headed that way.

    Monte:

    MOAR DROOP!

But seriously, I like a little rake, and with where my springs are sitting currently, I think I'll be able to pull off the 2" lift shackles. I'm starting some research into shocks. I don't mind spending a little more this time around than my 5100s to get a bit better performance.

Timmy got me motivated to check my steering rack bushings. So I tossed my camera on my transmission skid. Pretty sure I was laughing as I watched the video

I'll throw in a set when I order my coils, but really don't want to touch it until it warms up.

Yeah, I've read about the install. Not too worried about it, but I do understand it can be a pain. And no doubt worth the $20.

But no matter what I'm still putting off crawling under my truck until it starts to feel like spring.
