    Hey, I resemble that statement!

Hows the clearance with the new wheels? Did you leave the spacers?

I pulled the spacers off. Need to pull the coilover and cycle to know for sure, but right now I have just a slight bit of frame rub at ride height.

What took me the longest time to wrap my head around was the combo of 1" wider wheel with 3/4" less BS. So I'm really not 3/4" worse than I was. Might benefit from some 1/2" or 3/4" spacers, but I think I'm fine for now. Will probably continue rubbing the resi at full lock/full stuff as it is though.

I can install a longer hose to move the resi. We can go as long as you want to get it away from the tire.

Yeah, that just pushed you in a 1/4". Mine did the same with 1/2" wider wheel and 1/2" less backspace.

What spacers are you running with the Ray 10s to clear 35s?

And the problem is I need a place to put the resis. Don't see an easy spot to move them too. With a shorter hose and some 90 degree fittings I could try @4Running Daily s setup.

NO spacers, I got the wheels to get rid of my 1.25" I had. It gets into the frame hard at full lock, I'll pocket the frame when I have some time this winter.

That can be done, I have the hose and fittings.

edit: Another option might be to mount it horizontal on the upper coil over mount and just have the hose loop out and around the arm, but that depends on how high your truck bumps out and if the arm will contact the resi or hose.

The truck looks very sweet all cleaned up! Did you do it all the detail by hand or a DA?

When u recently said that you lowered the truck, how man threads you have showing now. You see in 4runnugdaily has only a few. I have 21 and am pulling it apart now to adjust it down.
    Thanks

Edit..lowered 10 threads which equated to one inch.

Looks good but I think you got the coil over on the wrong side. The elbow for the resi should be facing the front of the truck not the back. What does the other side look like?

Wait a munite... Is the fender green in the pic? Is this pic of your truck?

Just a quick wax by hand. I clay bared it early in the year, but only care enough to do that once a year.

Just counted 13 threads passenger and 14 driver. Sitting somewhere between 22.5-22.75" center of hub to fender. Think they came with about 8 or 9 showing. Might crank them a few more turns, but I don't care about lift height and am happy with how they are performing.

Have you seen @Delta00 's setup? His came with a lot of preload:

Not sure why ADS is sending them out so different.

Yep, that's not mine. I've got the elbows and resis going to the front, but struggling to come up with a resi mounting solution to keep it from rubbing.

Oh, and a couple pictures from this weekend's fun:

TARS!!! I need to get out more. Do you ever find it's a struggle between wheeling or riding the dirtbike?? Now that I've thrown the sport bike into the mix there's not enough time to enjoy all my hobbies!

I bet ADS is still trying to figure out what location works best for most trucks. Also might depend on who you buy from, ADS direct might have one setup and MCM or DSM another.

If I wanted to adjust the pre load would I have to get another alignment? Maybe take it down about an inch...

Possibly your drums are way out of round, I would think you would feel that. Have you ever had them resurfaced? Jake's truck has a very bent backing plate causing shoe misalignment causing his brakes to stick, might look there also.

No. I'd like to measure the diameter but don't think I have the proper tool. There's clearly a lip on the edge where they haven't worn.

I still think it has something to do with the e-brake clicker wheel adjuster. I loosen it up, and can feel it tighten up as I use my e-brake. Just this last time I screwed the stop bolt way in so the bellcrank is further away from the backing plate, with the thought that would give it less throw, but not sure if that will accomplish anything.

Also seems odd it started when I did the axle seals. More likely it has something to do with the shoes and new hardware I just put in than the drums that I didn't touch.

But what good are extended lowers going to do me without extended uppers? :p

Yes absolutely especially if you lower it that much. I did lower mine 10 threads, leaving 11 and 12 showing. It lowered the front a full inch. It now sits at 23" to my flares. Rides much better and the cv's are sitting more proper as well.

Regarding alignment, I didn't get one b4 I drove it up the hills last Saturday. Scary as s,,, on the highway. It's got about 3degrees negative camber each side and I'm guessing 1 degree caster.

I was driving through Steamboat today and spotted your truck. It looks just as great on the road as it does here. I knew I had seen it but couldn't place it (here/expeditionportal/etc).
I'm from LA and just passing through, small world.

    Sweet rig!
