Squeeling at 3000RPM's

    3 inch lift
    Just recently my truck starting making a squeeling noise at 3000 RPM's and thats when i shift gears...Time for a new belt? or is it a different problem since the squeeling dosent start till the 3000 rpm mark

    sounds like a belt is slipping

    well it's probley like a 3 or 4 second squeel the second it hits 3000 rpms...belt slipping was what i thought but was curious to why it slips at 3000
