hello guys I have a squakee sound coming from my 99 pre-runner tacoma front seats, they sound like if I have a birdy in my seats very anoying, hoping to see if anyone here has a solution to this problem and could gide me on what to do. I was also thinking about upgrading seats from a newer 1st gen tacoma, please any advice or ideas would help thanks.

Attached is the link to the CustomTacos write up on changing out seats. There seems to be several options, it should be a good read if you can't find out how to get rid of the squeak.

wd40 wont help, I think the sound comes from the inside of the seats, like on the springs or something. :( any other suggestions?

i had the same prob - it drove me nuts. So i took out every single coin/key/scrap piece of crap/etc from my cab....the squeek remained.

I finally figured out what it was - the seatbelt clip (the part that is fixed by your seat - but can pivot forward and back) was rubbing on something. SO i just moved it around for a while with a little wd40 and prob solved no more squeek.
