Hey I just bought a 2005 SR5 Tacoma and I was wondering if it has limited slip differential? Or what indication will let me know if i have it.

Unless I am mistaken...... I think that it should have a button on the dash (left side of steering wheel) that says DIFF LOCK (or something like that) if it has the LSD.

Some do, some do not. My SR5 does not. Just like chris4x4 said, if you have a LSD, it will have a sticker on the back end of the pumpkin that reads "LSD oil only"

I am probably a rare-breed when I say I would prefer not to have it. Just seems to be more of a hassle when changing fluids. Some guys get grinding noises if not adding enough supplemental additives/lubes in with the oil. I can still do a u-turn without it. I rarely go off-road, and have 4wd for the once-every-10yr-instance that I get stuck in some mud or can't climb a hill. The LSD might sound nicer to me if I hadn't heard of so many having issues at service intervals...

    Lots.
It's better than just an open diff. If you have a locker than you are more geared towards off-roading. If you have an LSD it's geared more to on road traction. This being because LSD is automatic and the rear wheels will still turn independently unlike a locker.
