    Hey everyone.

I have a 2020 DCLB SR5 and I was wondering if anyone here knew of a lift kit that fits for.. well a RWD and not a 4x4. I’m still fairly new to this truck game and when I look at information it’s just a bunch of words lol.

If anyone has any suggestions. Please reply!

I have right now just some rough country spacers 3”. I like where it stands and 3” seems like the perfect size. I just want a true lift kit now because I know the negatives and bad reviews of spacers.

but yeah… if you know of anything or can recommend a link to a couple of lift kits. I’d truly appreciate it!

A “true lift” is better, but if you are fine with the spacer lift ride quality then I say don’t worry about it.

Spacers do add unneeded stress to the front end, but nothing that the truck simply cannot handle. The photos floating around while are a possibility, are an extreme minority of situations.

I believe I installed my spacer setup around 100k miles ago with the intention of getting a better setup in the future, but I haven’t seen any reason. I also have 1.25” spacers, which many will also argue will destroy your suspension in short order. My control arms are also stock, so my caster angle isn’t ideal, but the truck doesn’t pull in the slightest, a little touchy at highway speeds but I got used to it in a few days.

Are they added stress points to your truck? Sure, but in my personal experience it hasn’t been even noticeable long term.

is your truck super white or wind chill pearl? do you happen to live in hawaii by any chance? wondering because hawaii/pacific is selling some super rare wind chill pearl SR5's in DCLB 4x2 configurations and I haven't gotten the chance to actually see a pic of one yet

well I have a hard pull to the right. I have rough country 3” leveling kit. So… my uppers are stressing hard. Which is why I want to kinda get a legit lift kit.

Your vehicle pulling is an indication of a bad alignment, not stress on your “uppers”.
Don’t get me wrong though, if you want a true lift then go for it, I just don’t personally see the benefit on a 4x2 truck, at least not enough benefit to warrant the cost. But it’s your truck, and not mine.

4x4s and 2wd 3rd gens have the same suspension style, so theres no difference in aftermarket parts. You have the bonus of no CVs, so you can do a spindle lift in the front if you want.

see that’s what I was thinking. But I’ve taken it to Toyota.. And they’re telling me that the spacers put on aren’t allowing the uppers to be adjusted properly so I’m always going to have a pull to the right unless I get new uppers.

so I’m kinda just like uhhhhh. And only reason why I’m like uhhhh.. is because two buddies at work have spacers and they’re truck goes straight for a looooooooong time. Mine will pull to the right almost 3 seconds after going forward

Taking it to another shop wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’m not familiar with Toyota and their alignment philosophies but it sounds to me as if they simply either don’t want to touch the truck with said lift, or are attempting to get you to have other parts/components installed by them.

My last alignment was when I had the lift installed, and again my caster angle wasn’t/isn’t ideal, but it doesn’t make the truck pull, just makes high speed steering more touchy.

As others have said, spindle lifting is an option, but from what I recall that will cost you around $600+, and then you still have to either get a block for the back, an add a leaf or something else so it isn’t squatting 3”.

I would personally take it to another shop, explain the situation and if nothing else have them checkout the alignment and if they can’t fix it just pay them for the time they spent on it. My bet is that they will be able to correct it.

Worst case scenario with that is you spend $40-$50, still have a truck that pulls but then you have a solid answer as to why, and then you can make a decision on how to fix it, or what direction you want to go from there.

Same truck but 2019 - Bilstein adjustable height 5100's all around - 1" front lift Rear- Icon Progressive AAL (Add a Leaf) 1.5" to 2" of lift in the rear. I think they can go up to 2.5" lift though. I have a roof top tent I take on and off... it sits level with the tent and gear on it. 265/75/16 Stock wheels with spacers for a more aggressive stance. Truck takes me basically anywhere I want to go. Wish I had a rear locker though just to be safe. Just like it was previously mentioned, use a spindle lift. You will achieve a 4" lift and it will ride like stock. You don't have to worry about cv angles or trying to clear 285s, and it will even widen up your stance.

    SPINDLE LIFT.
