Lived in AZ, NJ, MS, TX and IL, 90% of Tacoma's were on pavement and looked like they never saw dirt a day in their life, would gladly take you up on that bet.

Incorrect, they hold the same residual value at the end of the day. Maybe in different regions an OR is more desireable, but the percentage of retained value compared to what you paid is the same across trims, 12 Tacomas in, bought sold and traded, no real difference between my sports, ORs and SR5s.

Make a thread with a poll with a yes/no answers for "OR owners have you used your MTS/CC/locker?" and let's do this

Around here I see 4X4s and not just Toyota with about the most aggressive off-road tires on it that never saw more off-roading of any sort than just backing into their yards!!

Even in AZ where you could off road anywhere that wasn't private property or protected, same thing, all about that image.

I went through a puddle on the road the other day caused by sprinkler run off, I think that counts as off roading in my 2 wheel drive.

Well here in Oregon there is no comparison. Just look on Craigslist and see the price difference between the two. But I guess you are right as I’m sure there are areas where nobody needs or desires a Off Road as a basic SR5 will do the trick.

But bottom line all Toyota’s hold their value extremely well. In fact when we sold our Pro Taco we barely lost any money on it. Paying extra for a Taco always pays off when you go to sell it.

Agree, I'm also guessing that in Oregon you can probably get a better deal new on an SR5 too, so come resale time, its also a similar hit. I will say I do believe the PROs hold higher resale value, I've seen them command like $1-3k less than MSRP used. I've had killer resale, but not that killer with my trucks.

I got my sr5 prem 4x4 on a 4th of July 2017 sale here in Seattle 32k OTD. Offroad or sport was way more for sure 5-7 grand more because the sr5 was the only ones on a close out. And I wanted a sport actually.

I went sr5 because of how much I wanted to do to it. And the caramel interior I also wanted to go along with the quicksand and it’s only on sr5’s...
I also wanted pay it off in 2 years.

hood scoop oem costed me $1200 brand new w/ paint job.

I used the savings for my mods.
I figured for the price of a pro... I got me volks, Fox suspension and 35’s, prinsu rack, rigid adapt light bar, bed rug, oem bed step, predator tubes etc etc,..

And not even 2 years I paid it off.
    i don’t have a trd.... but it’s a trd Bro :)

Honestly I wanted a TRD OR but here in Canada you can only get an SR5 or Sport in DCLB. Chose the SR5. Realized it was the right choice as I wont wo taking my Tacoma offroad.
