I like my Stack-On a lot. I'd save a bit more to get a larger model though. An 8 gun safe will fill up quicker than you think.

I love my stack on...buy more than what you need...eventually you'll use it and wish you had room for even more...I bought bigger than what I needed and had it filled fairly quickly...

I have two of the green 10? gun security cabinets. They are both full. I wish I had room for more but I can only fit so much in my apartment. They are nowhere as strong as a safe, but it's better than nothing.

They have a basic keyed lock. On a swivel so it grabs at the middle, top and bottom.

I keep my guns in their padded cases, so I can only fit 6 rifles in each. I can fit three or four handguns on the top shelf. It's a tight fit, but it works. Like I said, they are both full to the max. Already time for a third one.

    ditto that.

bought one and had it filled inside a few months.

Bought a Liberty 25 cubic foot safe (fire-resistant) and now IT'S filled up, was about two years after I bought it. Shoulda bought the 35.

HAve a friend who built a home and he bought a used bank vault door at an auction for something like $200. Big thing, weighed - literally - a ton, about 6 x 6 feet. Put it into the entrance to his "arms room" which is about 20 x 50 feet. That was a few years ago, and it was only about half full the last time I went out to visit.

    You'll want more space.
