    has anyone used this stuff?
    http://mystarbrite.com/startron/

i mixed up some today in my 2 stroke leaf blower that has been running crappy , i have to say it seemed to help a bit, the guy at the lawnmower shop says that i may take a tank or 2 to really see a difference, he says its a lot better / different than Sta-bil. I got the small engine mix, 1 ounce per 3 gallons, but they have a concentrated mix 1 ounce per 16 gallons !

it is supposed to nutralize the ethanol or something, here in CT we can only get gas with 10% ethanol and its hell on small engines, probably my taco engine too

i was of the impression it was used in marine applications to eliminate enzyme build up in tanks in boats which sit a lot. i use sat bil marine formula in my boat and all of my lawn equipment because it eliminates a lot of issues associated with using the 10% mix. it is also a great fuel system cleaner and stabilizer for fuel which gets old. go to star trons web site and see what their claims about this stuff is. if you need to clean up your system. get some sat bil.

I use is it my boat for my 90hp 2 stroke Yamaha. It generally does the same thing as Stabil as far as a fuel stabilizer, Ethanol issues, cleaner etc etc.

I've used this stuff for the 1st time this spring. After letting my quad sit all winter (empty tank) & adding fresh gas I was having trouble keeping it idiling. I could start & keep the choke out but as soon as the choke was pushed in, the engine would die. After making a call to the honda place I had my carb taken apart & the ports cleaned. The mechanic blamed it on the ethanol (10%) & how it reaks havoc on smaller engines. He suggested that I try Star Tron for preventative measures. So far so good....I've use all summer & will add it this winter to everything (mower, trimmer, power washer & quad) with full tank of gas in each with the added enzyme treatment. I guess I'll know more once next Spring rolls around. Hopefully this will prevent starting/gumming issues with my equipment when I'm ready to use it again next year.
