Hello all, I could use some help finding the ground to the starter relay. I’m going off this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/kill-switch-mod-write-up.88252/ but I don’t want to use a power wire and risk a short.

Does anyone know where the ground wire is? I’m hoping that it’s inside the cab like the green and black wire in the thread I posted and not in the engine bay. Thanks in advance.

It's not...it's in the engine fuse box

Yes, please. I have the OEM factory electric manual, and it's not real user friendly. I don't know if it's a culture thing but the layout is not intuitive. I guess it works well for factory guys, and Toyota certified mechanics...? Working on private jets 45 years this month, and it's a POS in my opinion.
I would like to find the source you used for the reply if available.

Just two pages all mashed up and simplified...using PAINT...
The source is online on many places...I don't have a link to it right now...

OP, you could get a one slot male & female connector, remove the ground terminal from 2A and mate them, then run the other side of the (male) terminal into the cab, hiding this wire in the OEM loom...

That’s sort of my plan I’m more of a cut and solder/splice type of guy.

The part I’m going to struggle in is getting the wire through the loom into the cab.

Hide it with black tape...there's a "nipple" under the firewall harness seal, most can't even look for it and wedge wires between the seal and the metal even in 3rd Gen. You could also share the hood opening cable exit.
