Starting the build! over $5,500 going into the stereo! Follow me..

I am new to the Tacoma forums. I've owned a few Toyotas in my day and I've had this particular Tacoma for about 2 and a half years now. I am finally getting around to building the stereo I keep telling everyone about. Retail over $5500 in parts doing the work myself. Qualifications are MECP certified for 5 years and senior install tech for Best Buy for 6 years. I'll post pictures and videos as I go, as well as a list of all the parts going into the truck. Should be big when I'm done

 

Holy crap man. Just keep the stock radio and get a supercharger instead

Man that's a lot of coin for a sound system. Interested to see how it turns out though.

 

If its what you love do it! With the money that went into my brothers system, he could've gone full LT, but he loves stereos. So don't listen to them, I support you

 

Works at Best Buy. Retails for 5.5K+. He is probably not paying full price.

 

Even if he is getting it at cost, depending on what he goes with, it can add up quick

 

2 questions:

1) Is it a NAD T770 digital decoder with 70-watts amps and Burr-Brown DACs?

2) If not, will it still blow women's clothes off?

Second, yes I work for best buy so that did cushion the spending a bit but not fully. Still hurt my wallet but I've been saving most this stuff in my closet over time to do it all at once. Just did the front driver door last night I'm already sick of laying dynamat after the roof and 2 doors lol. as fas as the install and box design, let me say im not as good as that guy you posted links of haha it wont be quite that clean. I have a design in mind but youll just have to see. What is going to set this apart are the couple cool ideas I have I'm going to do.. you'll see what I'm talking about when I get that far lol
