Watch out when storing oil. If it gets too hot or too cold where it’s being stored it’ll break down. I’ve had some stored in my garage and when i opened it I noticed the color of the oil was starting to turn the color of the bottle. Ended up buying new instead of using those bottles

I'll keep mine in the basement. I've bought up Rotella T6 for the Liberty CRD in the past when it was on sale at tractor supply with rebate and had no issue storing it. If the basement can keep my homemade wine good it's ok for motor oil too.

I got enough for 2 oil changes and a spare quart for under $30 with the 20% off code. Picking it up after work.
    Thanks @1776Taco for sharing this.

Rotella has been great oil in my little old diesel, Blackstone labs test yearly proved that. I don't mind trying this in the new Taco.

My 2019 manual says you can put 5w-20 if needed but you have to put 0w-20 for the next oil change.

AAP has oil clearance sale every so often I had gotten 4 quart jugs and single quarts of IDEMITSU 0w20 for less than $1.00 a year or two ago which I had just ran out of

Can anyone even buy it through AAP? All my local stores are out of it and it won't let me even check out online. :annoyed:

I picked up mine last Friday but some stores in my area didn't have enough to fill my order. One close to work did so that's where I got. I'd say the deal was a big hit

I just checked every store within like a 3 hour radius of me and they're all out. Also they are completely out online right now too. That was a hell of a deal, 41 bucks for 21 quarts on sale + the 25% off online orders coupon. They said to try again later this week...doubt they will get anymore in though.

I just got back from picking up my online order. Was talking with the cashier and mentioned what a screaming deal this is. He said these are on clearance since Shell is only making 5 quart jugs now as the quarts don’t sell supposedly.

Grab them up while you can! Maybe other places will start putting the quart bottles on clearance as well....

I think they probably meant to say 5quart jugs. That makes sense price wise just seeing how most stores price 1 quart and a 5 quart that most buyers see the 5 as a better value.
Idk why shell still sells the Rotella T6 5w40 I used in the CRD in one gallon/4 quart jugs and not 5 quart like gas engine oils. That was always gallon for $21 or quart for $6. Since I needed 6.75 quarts I always got 2 gallon jugs

Whoops yes you’re right, I corrected my post. I picked up 20 quarts though so maybe a 5 gallon bucket would be pretty cool if they made a way to easily dispense and seal it up for storage

I was trying not to be super greedy. I got 14 quarts.
My truck doesn't have 500 miles yet lol. But I plan to change the oil at 5000 miles between the included ones at the dealership. So that will last me a bit. Can't beat the price and it's a quality brand.

Did you buy 0w-20? Who's selling the 5qt jugs for $11 that they're price matching?

Advanced auto is for 10.49. Youre in Texas I’d probably go 5w30. I don’t care with Toyota says
