Wanted to post this in here because I did a ton of searching for this color on a silver Tacoma and found very minimal results. Hope this helps someone in the future. 16x8 -25 with 285/75/16 toyo RT. Ran across a steal on fb marketplace on some OR flares. And will be installing those this week sometime. Hoping it breaks things up a bit and provides some contrast. Offset is absolutely perfect. The ray 10s are now for sale.

 

Looks good. If only the ray 10's were stealth Indigo purple. Still waiting on those to drop.

Is this common for F5 owners to get chipped up? Since being hub centric it gets banged up?

 

Super common. I’ve had 3 sets and all of em had some form of chips there.

 

Yikes. Is that due to tire shops just half assing shoving the hub in there or is it a tight squeeze

 

Mostly from the balancing cone on the machine and them being too dumb to be careful. The PC on the wheels isn’t the most robust either, so its not out of the realm to see it chip easily. I guess the question is how much do you care? Rock rash and scratches are inevitable if you use your truck. It’s not like these wheels are rare, anyhow!

 

Yeah I agree. Just not a big fan of rashes and scratches done to the wheel before its even mounted on truck lol. They have become very popular amongst resellers so they are a bit rare

 

Buy when it is convenient for you, don’t fall for the hype as it will drive you crazy like the rest of the folks here. My current set were just hanging out in a warehouse. I wasn’t even looking when I came across them. Was able to get them for cost as well

 

Good advice. I fell for the method 305 hype now I can't stand looking at these wheels thats why searching for new ones. Love the ray 10 just hate the fake beadlock. Leaning towards the coveted f5. Ray 10 or F5 can't decide

 

Keep it clean and understated with the F5's or whatever the updated F5's are... I'm noticing a disturbing trend with these trucks reminding me of the late 90's import scene. "some" people are taking "custom" tooooo far and it's starting to look like an "off-road" version of Fast and Furious around here... Clown trucks..

 

Updated F5? Are they planning on changing the design? And I think is already too late that scene has started the last couple years

GEN5's Same design just more chiseled edges and some pretty slick finishes. Ya, started a few years back for sure... I'm sure in peoples own mind thier truck is the best lookin on the road and not overdone...
