The #CovidSpecial 2000 T4R 4x4

This is a 2000 T4R Limited 4x4 that my buddy had me build for him. He wanted something to hit some moderate trails and have fun with. I had free reign and overbuilt it for sure, but it came out sweet. I started this build thread because they are never "finished," and there are still some future upgrades!

i love the oversized rain guards, ive tried looking for a set that would work for a second gen tacoma but never had any luck

 

Are you going to buy a 4runner now?

 

I'm always tempted when I see them, would make wheeling/camping with the family much easier.

dope! the visors look to be zenki early model version.

keep this one clean. clean 3rd gens and 1st gen tacos are hard to come by!

i skimmed your mod list and looks like youre not running the eimkeith panhard correction kit but have an adjustable bar to center the axle. The PCK will greatly reduce the tippy feel and re aligned your panhard bar to its correct horizontal position. this is a common problem with lifted 3rd gens

 

I know I need to get handy with a real camera haha

After some research, we felt that the adjustable bar would be fine without the pck. That topic seems to be a hot one with people on both sides of the fence lol!

 

You'll be fine without it . Ive driven mine without pck on 9 wrap LC coils in the rear for over 8 years. I forgot how it was actually supposed to drive over time but when i installed the PCK it was night/day difference!

Thank you! I’ll pitch the idea to him and see if he’s up for it. There is a high clearance bumper with spare tire mount en-route. I want to see what the final ride height and drivability is like once it’s mounted up.
