    Has it ever been in a collision if it has been rear ended or hit ever your driveshaft could be ever so slightly out of wack causing rapid u joint ware. Didn't read rest of thread just your original post FYI

    You're talking u-joint in the drivetrain.. I'm talking about the scrawny little u-joint in the intermediate shaft #2 in the steering column.

    Just found this thread. Same symptoms. Replaced the pump a couple weeks ago with no improvement. This makes perfect sense now that I see it. That's what I get for not checking TW first!!! :frusty:
