Steering wheel radio controls......

OK, so heres the deal. Occasionally when I try to use my steering wheel controls for the radio, they mess up..
The Volume Up button turns the volume down, the channel down button turns the volume up... and I cant change channels...
I've tried turning the radio off, on, changing through aux/cd.. and it still doesnt work..
When I turn the truck back off, and on.. they'll start working again...
For a little while..
Is this something to do with the radio, or what?

 

Take it in to the dealer, that is what your warrenty is for.

 

Agree with Jester- This might be the newest version of the 09-10 radio issues, or a problem with a bad clock spring, or something else completely. But it's their job to fix it up.

 

x2 on the warranty thing.

But it def sounds like a clock spring problem to me. My steering wheel control backlighting is messed up too, when I turn the wheel they light up, but when at center they do not. So maybe a way to test it would be to try using the controls with the wheel upside down or sideways, at least to just confirm that's the problem.

 

Yeah, I'm defo going to the dealer, just wanted to see if anyone else had these problems.. I didnt know if maybe that was part of the radio tsb or whatever..
