Hey there...... I am hoping to get any help I can for adding steering wheel controls to my 2008 TRD sport that did not come with them factory. I have already replaced the stock HU and have the pac adaptor for the controlls. Just needing a better option then buying a new steering wheel and new airbag from the Dealer. Are the Wheels and clockspring the same with or with out controlls. Can I add a switch and plug it into the clock spring and then tap into it from there? I have seen air bag covers on ebay but makes me a little nervous but I really dont want to buy a whole new air bag that has the side cut outs for the switchs. I am looking at salvage yards and will have to buy the whole column but that is still way cheaper then getting just the wheel from the dealer. But that still leaves me needing a new air bag or to replace just the cover. Any ideas or any help from anyone who has already done this????

I would agree but with the tiny buttons of my HU ( kenwood DNX 7100) and being spoiled with them in my Chevy I just sold I really want to add them.
