2010 double door clunks and steering wheel turns slighty when driving over rough terrain. Any suggestions

Mine does this a tiny bit too, there's a slip yoke in the steering wheel that has tiny (like .5mm) play, then your rack guide could be worn, then your inner tie rod links, outer tie rod links, and ball joints, and wheel bearings can all come into account for responsibility.

There's going to be some slop, knock, and bump, that's the nature of the beast.

I notice this is your first post, welcome, and what's the history on the truck? Owners, miles, location etc.

Does NOT mean that the alignment is proper. Take it to a reputable offroad shop in your area and have them do an offroad alignment on it. something like 3-3.5* caster, little bit of (-) camber and no toe should be just about right.

That doesn't mean sugar honey ices tea. My truck had a "full check" on it from the dealer, they had it listed that my timing belt was over due for replacement, the 1GR has a chain...

But still even with everything new you will have some play offroad. It's normal.

Yeah. If you really want to minimize or eliminate the symptoms youre talking about, the best bet is really BIG tires, and a really nice 3" suspension lift with UCAs.

Mine does it every day. Annoying but seems to be common from what I've read on here

Thanks guys. The theory behind the zip tie fix makes sense but there must be a better way to insure longevity. I am a owner of
a Tool and Die Shop here in Ontario Canada which has all the latest CMM and CNC equipment to come up with a proper fix.
I will keep you posted as to my findings

i had a lot of clunks and bangs. A common failure is the steering rack bushings. I pulled the rack to replace mine (urethane ones) but ended up replacing my rack as it was pretty rusted and a PIA to get out (wasn't putting back the rusted one that was 12 years old!). I got an alignment from a small shop afterwards and no more noise. Im not sure if it was the bushings or the alignment but noise is gone so i dont care.
