@malburg114 Right on, thanks for the clarification. How many total leafs in your pack? If I go leafs I’m going to just order new from SD spring or somewhere similar, they’re so cheap anyways - but I’m trying to figure out the right pack, 3+1 would be flexiest, but I would be hampering my ability to carry anything substantial in the bed, so I’m thinking 4+1 or maybe even 5+1.. I’ll have at minimum a spare 40 and tools, and often times will also have some camp kit and a RTT.

Mine are 8 thin deaver leaves plus the main 63. Before it was two 63 leaves with the main 63 and a Toyota leaf below. You could easily find a thin leaf from a wagoner or ranger and build a similar pack.

My truck stays loaded with a 40 in spare, tools fluids and quite a few spare parts along with a 1.5 ton floor jack and a set of cordless tools. I had minimal squat when I added camping gear and coolers for a week trip. With no camping gear I’m right at 6 ish inches of uptravel. The rear did raise maybe a .5 in or inch when I went to deavers but it has since settled pretty close to the same.

I’ve debated linking mine time and time again. Now with bypasses on the rear, I don’t see any sort of gain from linking mine. It handles well on the road, in the go fast and crawls extremely well. I don’t have flex issues and don’t see me gaining much going to links for the cost.

some pictures to see the difference. “Unloaded” pictures are with tools, small cooler, spare, box and spare parts

Loaded for 5 days on the rubicon with two guys worth of camping gear with 63 only pack plus touota leaf

Well.. if buying the axles and the kits was a financial point of no return… the tangible point of no return has also now been crossed:sawzall:

    43’s anyone?

Sorry for lack of updates, been way too busy with projects at the new house. One of these days I’ll stop by my buddies place and get some more pictures of stuff and put up a more detailed post. For now, enjoy this quick little tease of these monster rubbers.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
