    This. is. sick.

Great job man; a lot of your setup is exactly what I want
I've got a 95.5 that used to be white, and the previous owner gave it this terrible black-with-blue flakes paint job; wish it was still white
Like that you've kept the grill chrome - I'm not sure why 99.7% of TW has such an adversion to it
Been wanting to do a retro-fit
And been wanting to get those toytecs

    Looks awesome

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
The cluster mod takes five 194 LEDs. Make sure you get the ones that light 360 degrees. I bought mine from superbrightleds.com.

And I think you'll need a 74 for the climate controls. There are three of them on my order, but I can't tell you what exactly the other two were for.

It wasn't exactly hard, just time consuming. You have to take apart your dash to get the the cluster out. More than a couple bolts involved. The hardest part was regarding the speedometer cable. It's just pressed onto the back of the cluster. When you're putting the cluster back in, it's a bitch to get your hand back behind it to get the cable pushed back on.

This should help out a bit with the removal.

    Thanks! It's been a journey so far...learned a LOT.

Cool! I stole a lot of ideas from other people on here. Well, it's not actually stealing I suppose since people share their stuff on here and show/tell how to do it.

Reminds me of a bowling ball of one of my team mates! :)

Anything I've done to my Toy you should be able to do to yours. Yay Team Gen1!

Yeah I know! On the Gen 2's I think it looks good. I passed one on the way to work today that was totally blacked out and lifted. Looked dead sexy but I didn't have a lot of time to gaze upon it.

I've tried to stay in the same vein as the original look without going too crazy. I wasn't a fan of the chrome wheels it used to have. One would argue that the chrome wheels would match the chrome front end. I went the other way: black matches the black tint, step bars, canopy windows, air scoop, etc. To me it all blends, and that's all that matters. :D

The retrofit turned out good, almost perfect...I'm pleased with it.

And I went with those Toytec coilovers because they came with the Eibachs on them already, and I WANTED THOSE RED COILOVERS! :)

So now I have my next two fun mods on the way in the mail. Hopefully they work out. One should be this week, and there will be picture goodness. Maybe.

Question about your headlights. I have projectors as well. What did you do for your stock airbox location and battery location? The very end of my headlights damn near touch my battery and I unbolted on of the bolts for the airbox to keep it away from the headlight

    :)

I've had manuals all of my life. I didn't want one this time so I found an automatic and it works perfectly for my needs.

    1. No
    2. Naw
    3. Nope
    4. Pass
    5. Here ya go!

    :D

I didn't have to do anything. I got lucky when I was dremeling out my housings...any bigger and the projectors would have come out the back farther. Lucky because you can see how close to the battery that side is. I didn't have to move the airbox at all, although it was REALLY tight when I pulled it out to do the deck plate mod. Plenty of room otherwise.

I should start looking into doing something with that ugly ass hood liner.

Edit: I just talked to my Toyo tech and he says it's ok to just remove it altogether. It's just there for noise dampening and to keep excess heat off of the underside of the hood.

Edit 2: I am going to replace it with Dynamat Hoodliner

The "your price" doesnt really work for me
That is quite Interesting that your headlights aren't as close to the airbox and battery

It probably has to do with how big I cut the holes for the projectors. I did many test fittings as I went to get it to where the projector lens would just fit inside the housing with the cover on. I could have dropped them back more, but did just enough. That's why I was saying I was lucky on the battery side. I really couldn't go any farther back and it barely fit behind the cover.

Like $320 if I recall. $300 for the TRS H1 retrofit kit and $20ish for the new Pilot housings.

    Added some fun illumination!

    Apocalypse Light Switch

    In the dark:

    With light:

Unfortunately it's almost invisible on blacktop or daylight.

Also I need to go back and revisit the wiring. The switch lights up properly (bottom on all the time, top on when lights are enabled), but the problem is that the lights are on ALL the time when the switch is enabled. I should be able to utilize the door pin switch somehow so they only come on when the door opens.

Also added white gauge overlay stickers:

Which now look like this at night with my red LED mod:

Oh yeah, I also fixed the wiring for the door projectors. The switch and lights are dead when the doors are closed. When a door is open then the switch becomes active and can switch the projectors on/off. I still think I might want to hook the +12 into ignition so the off LED lights up when the truck is on. Wiring is a PITA though, so good enough for now.

Added a quick disconnect to the hood led lighting in case the hood ever needs to come off.

Also added a Scangauge II to monitor Voltage and temps. Snagged it for $40 off of a Labor Day sale. I haven't played around with it at all yet, so it's all default except the color. Decided to stick it here with Velcro. I didn't like how much space it took on the steering column in front of the gauge cluster. I thought about putting it in the junk pocket under the stereo, but I like my...uh...junk. :D

    Blurry in-motion pic, but whatever.

And yes...that's the window handle laying by the 4x4 shifter. I lost the Damnit Clip™ when I was putting the door projectors in. Another $.86 down the tubes.
