I have a 2003 tacoma with a 32 gallon fuel cell with 0-90 ohm sender. In order to pass emissions i had to re wire the stock gauge back up (an auto meter gauge was used previously and it sucked).

i was going to place this in 1st gen, but since most of the LT crowd are running fuel cells I thought I'd start here first

Is there a way to get the stock gauge to work with an aftermarket sender? I know the stock gauge ohm rating is 3 ohms full and 110 empty...if i buy an aftermarket sender with the same rating will it work? What about putting an in line resistor to increase the ohm rating? What are other 1st gens running? Thanks guys!
