Unfortunatly our radios on the 2g's is kind of permenent. The upside, it looks pretty sweet.

Does anyone know how many watts per ch. the standard single disc version puts out?

I was thinking about up grading the factory speakers.

I would consider getting a line out converter, an amplifier, and a good set of component speakers. This way you'll get to keep the stock head unit and still get pretty damn good sound out of your aftermarket speakers.

The reason I suggest using the line out converter is because I highly doubt the OEM head unit pushes out even mildly respectable power. As a result a speaker upgrade may only sound marginally (at best) better.

Here is a cheaper line out converter:

I'm about to purchase a 07 taco regular cab automatic for a work truck. Does any one know if the oem single cd player is capable of playing mp3 or wma?
    Thanks
