My truck has JBA long tubes, along with a MBRP split exhaust with a Dynamax super turbo muffler (all installed by previous owner). The noise is getting a bit irritating and I hate having to crank up the radio so loud on the highway, so I’m tempted to install a stock type muffler. I’m wondering how it might sound with the headers though? I don’t have the upper cats but I do still have the lower ones.

You can try putting on a resonator before going that route. Then again, I’m sure there’s plenty of guys willing to swap their stock exhaust.
