I have a 2014 Access cab Tacoma, 2WD and mostly light, street, use. New tires in its near future as stocks at 45,000mi. Is there a recommended shock, single or double-acting that will give a good ride and still provide the safe, tread on the street safety? Does Toyota have a heavy-duty replacement shock or will new stock shocks be an economical replacement? Totally enjoy driving this truck any time. Thanks for any input.

    Pre runner or 5 lug?

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road can provide what you need.

Although I am curious why you think you need shocks at 45k. Not saying you don't, just what makes you think you do?

I have the 5-lug 2.7 MT AC and I replaced mine about the same time, dampening mostly gone. I had Bilstien 4600's installed and the ride is better now. 5100's don't fit our 5-lugs.

Definately not getting the 'seasick' ride, but considering new set of tires. Thought new shocks would help preserve the investment.
