Stock Skid Plate Bolt Size? 2nd Gen TRD OR

Long story short, I bought a 2013 TRD OR with tons of issues (fixed most now) and the vehicle was given to me with the stock skid plates but no hardware

Anyone know the size of the skid plate bolts off the top of there head (or otherwise) so I can get the proper bolt to replace it??

Looks like the 3rd gens are M8-1.25x20mm. hopefully it's something similar if not the same!

 

I can find the part number (90080-11373)... I know it's a 12mm head... hmm

This part number is the same from 2nd to 3rd gen. Going to the hardware store to get (x8) and will confirm lol

If I remember correctly, the front plate bolts into brackets using the small bolts. The brackets bolt into the frame(or something like that) using the larger bolts.

 

If you're buying the bolts, get grade 8. These have a habit of rusting in place then breaking when you try and take them out later. The grade 8 pretty much solve that problem.
I actually swapped mine out for the harder version. I also put a dab of grease on them before installation.

 

For the front skid the smaller bolts were m8x1.25 and the larger ones were

$13 m12x1.25 mm self-locking nylon insert hex lock nuts, pack of 6

m12x1.25. I used stainless grade 8 with stainless washers & lock washers. I’d recommend running a threat tap through the bolt holes first mine were all full of crud & almost cross-threaded so I stopped & regrouped

 

Thanks for all the help guys! I have (x8) grade 8 bolts in there now. As described, there was a lot of existing corrosion in the open threads as the have sat without bolts for likely more than a year..
