Damn those are beauties. The hardtop makes them look even more unique of a car. Unfortunately I wont be throwing down the $ for a hardtop on mine.

I have a 2002, same rear suspension as your SIL's. If you are ever BSing with her about it, tell her that a set of rear toe bars will make that thing handle way better. She will be able to have rear camber setup to -2.5 as well as really taming the rear end from stepping out on hard corners.

Son in law, not sister. I will send this to him. He is a major tweaker with his stuff so I'd be curious if he already knows this or not. If not, I bet he will do it. Thanks for the heads up!

Happy with 35% all around. Easier at night and enough tint to avoid “fish-bowl” effect & can’t make out face from outside. Glad I didn’t get front windshield tint-strip as i dont think its needed due to the sharp angle of windshield. The rear windows already have a slightly dark factory glass, i think 26-27% from when I did my little research prior to getting tint. All around turned out to be just a simple clean look.

I had my 2 front windows tinted last Friday. Noticing some quarter sized bubbles even today 5 days after installation. Noticable from the outside, but can't see them on the inside very well. Called the shop, they said to wait another week then bring it back. They think they'll come out. Does that sound right?

Yikes, hopefully it does. Just about to tint my front windows, where did you go so I know where not to go (potentially!) I'm near Seattle

check local laws as well. for example, here in hawaii the fronts can't be darker than 35%.

I'm not near Seattle... Funny thing is, we had our first day of sun and the bubbles are 90 percent gone. Park yours in the sun after you do it if possible.

Heres what the already put on. the back is untouched. Here in Texas the legal limit is 25%, which according to the sticker it is compliant. I assume its 35% solely based on thats 35 and 20 are the common manufactured darknesses never seen a 25. it matches alright, darkness wise, the colors though seem to not match. I will eventually do 35% in the front and 20% in the back but all from the same company for color match. Debating if should just do 20% all the way around like Ive done on my other cars, Ive never been hassled for it by police or inspection. my moms camry and my bros gen 2 both have been hassled for 20% all the way around by police and then by firestone inspection respectively.

I'll jump in on the S2K thread. My 2003 with 50% on the windshield and 5% on all the windows. This is my fun car that I drive only when the weather is nice. The top and windows are always down so no issues with glare or not being able to see at night.

Wouldn't mind living out in Tassajara, especially with all the tourist that are here on the weekends. I know SC gets like that too with everybody from SJ driving over the hill on the weekends.

I got another picture of what 20% looks like doing the front only, this time in the sun. I think it's s pretty close match. 20180420_111643.jpg

Looks great! I'm about to take mine in for a ceramic (based on comments from others) at I'm narrowing in on the 20%. Do you notice any significant issues with it at night?
