Hey man how you liking those tires now that's it's been some time? Any rub or issues?

I'm thinking about getting some bfg ko2s on my pro that comes in next week. But been debating between the st Maxx or the atz p3. Want to do the tire swap right away to sell those Goodyear's for the best price.

As far as the size goes, 33 is perfect but I wanted to get a wider tire. Probably a 285/75r16 or maybe even the 305/70r16. Both are about 33". Think they'll do ok on my truck? Not sure how much of a difference the 285 vs 255 would be...

    Thanks for sharing!!

Do you think if the 255 fits the 285 will? I don't even think bfg has a 33" option for anything less wide than a 285...

A 285 is about 1.22" wider than a 255, so you'll have over a half inch on either side of the same wheel size/offset.

In other words, it's going to rub. You'll need a mild lift and/or some cab mount chop and some trimming/hammering.

Went with the ko2's, 285 75 16. They fit no problem at all. Look insane!!!

Any rubbing at full lock or under articulation? Gone wheeling with them yet?

I noticed very light rubbing once when I was in full lock and quickly reversed. Going to the dessert this weekend and will let you know how that goes. From talking to others and from what I'm experiencing if you stay on road is not an issue, if you off road you need very light trimming

No rubbing really ever. When you back up quickly in full lock and hit a bump you might get a tiny rub

Dragging this thread back up requesting an update. Still running the same set up? Anymore wheeling trips? How about the tranny? Any issues there? Your truck looks super.

Dragging it back up again. The rubbing was on the front mud flaps only. How do I know? Because I bent my passenger side mud flap back to my slider and cracked it, took both off and now no rub whatsoever. And I'm 1.5" lowered in the front running sliders and full mobtown skids. This tire size on stock wheels are perfectly fine even at full flex (See pics)

what comparable tire size for the 17 in sema rim, to get the look of the 255/85/16 ..maybe 255/80/17 on the sema rims, only a couple choices in that size tho..

Yes, I think those are a tenth of an inch shorter than the 16s.
