I need help finding the stock wheel offset for a 2005 tacoma, 2wd with the 5 lug 15" wheels. I want to put different wheels on it and the ones I want are an inch thicker with a -19mm offset. I don't want my wheels to stick out farther than my fender. Will the extra inch on the new wheels compensate and keep them even with the fender?

What wheels are you looking to use? The main issue I found was clearence for the brakes.

American Racing Custom Wheels AR883 Maverick Anthracite Wheel With Machined Face (15x7"/5x114.3mm, +40mm offset) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BYQTNY/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_t.DIwbYMFJKM8 I just found these that I like, the offset seems like it could be closer to stock

The ones I originally wanted were actually 15x7 with a -6mm offset, not -19 as originally stated

Well, a -6 offset will really push those tires out, the five lugs run a hub with high positive offset. Its the same as a camry or rav4. The first set look like they would work.

I have run wrangler steels wheels 15x7, nissan z32 turbo wheels 16x8, and my current dodge intrepid steelies in 16x7. They all fit but I have shaved a bit off my calipers to get the jeep ones on there. Take a look around at other 5 lug builds, I know there are some people running various take offs and aftermarket rims. I am still holding out hope of stumbling across a nice set of te37s or OZ routes, or an oversized set of wantanabe 8s, or STi gold take offs.

    I recall the Z wheels.

Are you running police package wheels, or something else?

    Pics?

I'm running the stock 16x7 wheels, 18 hole. Don't know about a police package but I ended up with these because the crown vic intercepter wheels I was looking at had one that was bent.

Exactly the look I've been thinking about. I'm sure trim rings can be had. What about a small cover for the lug area? Like a 'baby moon' or 'dog dish' of yore?

I wouldn't mind flush or almost flush with the fenders, but nothing sticking out. Any head on shots that show that, front and rear? Maybe a side shot showing both wheels to get an overall feel for the look. Sometimes things are better in my brain than on the ground :anonymous:

I can take some more pics when I get my truck back from the dealer. They are perfectly flush wih the fenders with my 245s on there. I'm going to bet there are moons out here that would fit. I debated, and still do, about painting the lip on them a blue or white.

The best part of these was the price. 6 bucks each at the pick and pull, 30 bucks for 5 wheels and 20 bucks for the clean up and paint.
