not suprising, i work at a bike store here in newbury park (t.o) and we have had about 8-9 people come in saying there bike was stolen, some in public, some not. not much to do but wait. we have stories of people being in there house with garage doors open and stealing bikes from them. also they are ONLY targeting nice bikes... a guy had 2 specialized carbon road bikes and the theif walked passed them in his garage and took the farther in cervelo

    enough to get me there
I think someone should bait this punk ass thief..... have another bike decoy in the area or same spot. Hide out in the bush, and when he comes, jump the shit out of him. He will probably be armed with bolt cutters and a torch, so you might want to make sure your karate and kung-fu is up to par.

^ Thanks guys for all your input. Its out of my hands now. I've done everything I could do after the fact.

I posted on MTBR, Pinkbikes, Craigslist, all local bike shops in the area and sent my information to the SM Police and local Pawn Shops.

I'm not going to get it back but there is a small chance perhaps.

Lesson learned and I'll keep a hopeful lookout. . .

    Thanks again. . .

    More to come
just a thought, my home owners insurance (USAA) will cover losses like this even if the property wasn’t stolen at my residents. Check if your renters/home owners insurance will cover your loss, if not make the adjustment to you coverage to cover your but in the future.

    Thanks man. . .

I've moved on and bought other bikes now. I had forgotten this sad event.

Thanks for bringing this back up again.
