Yah, they do that cause then the insurance company writes the whole thing off, then the frame goes to auction, and thief is at that auction, buys the frame for 100 bucks, goes back to his warehouse and puts the car back together. Clean car for $100 bucks and can register it at DMV in his name.

I would check the local trails. One of my friends got his truck stolen and they just dumped it in a wash a couple miles from his house. Sorry to hear about it but hopefully they'll catch the ahole that took it.

That really blows Andres, you work your ass off at work and school only to have some slime ball rip your off. Not to sound negitive but your truck is probably already in Mexico. I hope I'm wrong. What did the PD tell you?

I told the insurance company I didn’t want it back so they paid me full blue book for it which was $500 more then what I paid for it a few years earlier. After they sent me the check I did ask what the buy back cost would be but they said they contacted with some company who would take all of the cars they acquire through claims; they probably auctioned it off.

Ok I have uploaded some pictures...
I beleive it was called simply toyota pickup but the 4runner came from that design. I had lots of fun with it, too bad I won't be on the desert for a while until I get another truck

dude that sucks. WTF is wrong with people. I agree, check your local trails and any place a idiot might think a 4x4 would be fun. FYI, on your next vehicle use a CLUB steering wheel lock!!! It takes them that much longer to steal it. Make'm work for it... while you get your .45 kimber.

I should've used a CLUB, all tough it's on a very public place I mean there are so many students fighting for parking and all. there were no signs of shattered windows, anything really. I guess I'll wait and see if police finds it, if not it may have gone to mexico.

My bet;a fellow student who has been admiring your ride from afar,& lives a good distance away.Waited till last day of classes, lifted your ride & took it home to another city. These lowlife scums if ever caught should have their hands chopped off & you should have the option of swinging the blade!

    HA!
my truck is at a tow yard and aparently they took the wheels, stereo (all tough the face plate is here in my desk) and the battery. Sherif said there are some small tires on it at the moment. I have to go get a receipt from the sherif station and I'll take it back tomorrow. I'm just happy it's still around.
