anything you enjoy you can be "addicted" to. and I use the term "addicted" losely. I see it more of a habit. Just like taking a shower. Do i need to shower every day before bed? probably not. But I do it around the same time every night, same with brushing my teeth...
Im not addicted to taking showers or brushing my teeth...

after you start doing it and getting use to it all the time it just becomes a habbit....

I am definitely pro gun, but....

They should be allowed to own a gun and get a CCW. But the same way you can't drive while intoxicated or on drugs you should not be able to carry a gun either. Your judgement is affected. Same as DUI... you should be able to lose your license if you carry concealled while baked.

I am sorry, but they will draw for the right reasons and not have the control to be any help in the situation.

Do you want to be in between a gunman and a DUI(Drawing under Influence) ccw holder?

But it is stupid to carry when drunk.

It is also illegal even in the great state of Texas to bring a firearm into an establishment that carries liquor.

i agree its stupid to drink and carry....

texas has pretty strict gun laws...up in the northeast in PA and other places have extremely liberal gun laws...even states where licenses are hard to come by if you do get one they are very liberal on off limits places

interesting, didnt see that in the news.
    Ill look into that

HPD's always goes through crap for guns. Last time they tried to ban the .50 BMG Ronnie Barret wrote to them saying he'd get with other manufacturers and boycott Hawaii.

    Enough said.

Come on guys, this is where Pro Gun loses all credibility. They should be able to get a ccw and own a gun. But it should be illegal to do so while under the influence.

We talk about responsibility. Let's hold eachother accountable.

your right, in some views Marijuana is as addicting as Alcohol, and wow, that's doing great, so lets add another legalized way to get f'ed up. Couldn't hurt huh? And carrying a firearm while intoxicated by any substance should be illegal. If you have a prescription to get legally stoned, why in earth should you carry a gun? you already have on a legal document showing that you will be under the influence regularly...
