I bought StopTech stainless steel braided hoses:
Rear Stainless Steel Brake Lines Stop Tech Part No. 950.44520
My mechanic says they do not fit through the holes which retain the hose as the wheel moves up/down.

Has anyone installed these and run into this problem? If so, what did you do about it?

    TIA

    Wow - Thank you!
In the back of my mind,
why would the **brilliant** Toyota (Toyoda-inspired) engineers would do this?
From a DFMA (design for manufacturability and assembly) and the Toyota's TPM viewpoint (of which I promote both with my clients I consult with), I am speechless.

    ugh.

2009 and my Goodrich rear braided hoses had the same problem and yes I filed the bracket to allow the hoses metal crimped flat sides to fit so it is fixed in the bracket otherwise you can't properly connect to the metal brake line. A Dremel would be better and I bought one after that filing job. Its a leaking mess with the old line off so get a piece of rubber hose to push over it and a container to catch the brake fluid. Fronts fit perfectly so when I did the rears I was not expecting the misfit.
