I need a bit of advice on a strange noise coming from front driver side wheel. It makes a howling noise while driving. When backing up it turns into more of a "growl". When turning to the right it goes away until the wheels are straight again. I would appreciate a lead in the right direction.

    Thanks

Does the howling happen at high way speeds wheres its more noticeable? Because if so then id say wheel bearing from personal experience

In all seriousness check to see if you have a rock stuck in your dust shield.

After watching a video on how to press the wheel bearings out of the hubs I decided to purchase the whole preassembled unit and swap it out. Now I just hope this thing lasts until next week when the package arrives.

I put on the new wheel hub assembly today (Dorman 950-004) and that was definitely the problem. It also fixed a vibration that I noticed after installing my lift and way before the noise started, so that was an added bonus.

I also installed the Powerstop brake kit that I bought about 8 months ago.

Thanks for the help, you guys are the best.
