Hi, I had to change the water bypass pipe on my 2005 toyota tacoma 4cyl and to do this I had to remove the intake manifold. When I put the intake manifold back in place I forgot to connect one hose in the back of the intake manifold, closer to the cab. I had to again... remove the intake manifold to connect the small hose. However when i took off the intake manifold for the second time, today, there was a strong odre of gas and the inside was damp with gas.
Yesterday I started the car not knowing that the hose was disconnected and it ran very rough. could this by why there is a strong odre of gas and should i be concerned or should i just put it back together.

Most likely is was your evap purge line wich runs fuel vapors into the intake manifold from the charcoal canister to be burned. Completely normal just reinstall.
