What made you switch from the Toytec to the Icons?

I bought the toytec prior to the 2016 setup being available. The ones I had were designed for 2005-2015. The 2016 is heavier in the front end and once I added winch and bumper, the coil had to be too preloaded to get 1.5-2" lift. I love the toytec and it is a great setup for no added weight up front. They did not not have a toytec 2.5 coil over in stock or I would have gone with them again.

Oh okay thanks, just trying to decide between the two. How do you like the Icons? I would end up going with toytecs 2.5 though.

I am happy so far with the icons. Slightly stiffer than the toytecs but the icons have a 650# spring vs the 600# that was on my 2.0 toytec.

Added an ARB compressor. Easy install with the switchpro. Bolted to existing holes but will eventually fab up a sturdier mount.

I'm planning to do the same. Wondering if I'll be able to mount that and a fuse panel over it. If you have the opportunity, i would like to see the compressor from the other side of the hood. Trying to see how much room over the compressor is there. Thanks.

Quick 1st road trip report. 900 miles Denver, CO to Phoenix, AZ. Very windy so may have affected results. Cruise was an issue. Set at 75 (77 actual with tire size) wanted to stay in 4th at 5k rpm. No cruise, would reach 75 in 5th, up to 6th and immediately start to lose speed. Slight pressure on long peddle and would drop to 5th to regain desired speed. First tank of gas: 15.5 mpg, then 13.1, 13.6 and 13.8. I attribute the wind to mpg, not sure how wind affected speed control.

You installed Switchpro and using it to turn your compressor on/off? Where did you tap into for the yellow and blue wire? I'm trying figure out where the best place to get power for both the yellow and blue wires, thank you.

Yes, my switchpro is running my compressor. I took red wire that was for isolator switch and connected it to proper switchpro wire. Easy as that

Do you have a pic by chance of the wires? Not sure if I understand correctly but it sounds as if you used your isolator wire to hook up to the Switchpro yellow and blue wires? Thank you
