Anyone have a personal preference or better experience with a certain brand of stubby 8'' antenna over another? Like does one brand keep better reception than another?

I put a 8 inch antenna on my truck, so far so good, but I don't listen to the radio at all. I will see if I can track down the place I ordered it from.

8" is pretty short. I have the 13" Eurostyle flexible from www.antennax.com. I bought one mostly because I was tired of banging into my stock antenna every time I scraped ice and snow on the windshield. The Eurostyle flexes enough that I don't worry about breaking the mount.

As for reception, it's decent enough. But I don't listen to a lot of radio either. Make no mistake though ... going from a 30"+ antenna down to 13" or 8" and you will lose some reception unless you live in a metropolitan area where signals are so strong any size antenna will pick them up.

I used a scion TC antenna.... you have to modify or extend the stud. My method was crude but it works great and no difference in reception. Should be a pic or two in my gallery. Looks great and doesn't bend back over time!
