A lot. What it comes down to, is the person behind the wheel.

Is there a way to het a little more lift out of factory suspension or a real cheap way to get more height for now?

dont do that. spacer lifts are garbage. for the same price get 5100 series bilstein shocks. kill 2 birds with one stone. good quality lift and better ride

for starters, you may want sliders to really wheel. you are probably open/open so you will need to pick your lines better.

    what skid do you have?

no truck can take a lot of "ABUSE" but if you wheel smart the truck will last a long time even when taking you to rough areas.

    Canada, just south of Santa
    Vehicle:
    98 tacoma 4x4 extended cab
5100's all around, 2 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed
That Top gear episode is why I bought a Tacoma, I doubt my 98 would survive as well but it does speak well for the lineage.
