ok. maybe I lied a little. I broke a cv axle in the hole before this one pulling out a chevy. so i was 2 wheel drive and almost made it. the axle was going bad but i thought it might last one more trip
no big deal i got pulled out backwards took the bypass. we where camping at the end of this trail so I made it to camp changed the axle and wheeled 2 more days

and another stuck pic this one took a couple of tries before i got the speed down to bounce over it

Hadn't played in the sand in a long time and forgot that you do not stop in a hole like this. Had to call the 2 biggest dudes I know to come out and jump on the tailgate, but she got out under her own power. Idiot.

This was a few years ago before any mods. Lesson learned for sure. Got stuck in May around 6,000 ft near Mt. Hood.

Good Lord. You people, and mud/water. I do not get the fascination. I avoid that shit like the plague. But, then again, I do live in a desert.

Not my Tacoma, but my 85 Toyota pickup at 2017 King of the Hammers. The last person in our group got to camp a little after midnight, while the rest of us had several hours head start on partying, and we went out on a run to Turkey Claw. In all the excitement, I did not air down at all and was bouncing all over the place. I finally landed on a good size boulder and there went my rear driveshaft, and the next 4 hours backing down the hill, in reverse, in front wheel drive. ARB lockers and RCV axle shafts ftw.

    Driveshaft.jpg

Not my video, but this is Turkey Claw for those who never been to the hammers.

Got hung up on in a washout. Alone. Hooked a tow strap and ratchet strap to a tree, let it craw in low, and got out and jumped up and down on strap about 300 times.19990.jpg

Going up this wash that had about a foot of water in it. Front started digging, I let her dig. I let off when the headlight started touching water. You can't tell but the back tire is about 3.5 ft off the ground. Cummins with 37s had to come pull me out because of all the mud around my truck, no one could get grip.19984.jpg

Here's a couple taken way back in October 1996. My dad and I were hunting Elk near Rifle, Colorado, and we were in his (early 1990's, I think) Toyota 4x4. We slid off the muddy road down into the ditch and had a couple guys on quads pull us out.
