I seen the people in wranglers with ducks all lined up on the dash and for a while didn't have a clue why it was a Jeep thing.
I was a Jeep owner too before the Tacoma but I had a lifted Liberty CRD (Diesel engine). The Jeep wave was mostly a wrangler thing around here. Mostly because Wrangler people think it's the only real Jeep. I'd occasionally get the wave. Mostly other jeepers would ask why my engine sounded like 2 bolts in a coffee can,

My partner has a wrangler unlimited and came home from work the other week with a duck someone left. The note included an Instagram and Facebook link as well as an invite to a local dealerships event. I suppose it's the try to get you to come to a social event and con you in to a new Jeep or more accessories for yours. Just empty every pocket lol

I don’t need a duck for that. I do just fine buying shit on my own.

I joined this forum just so I could reply to this.
I own a 2006 jeep lj lightly modified for light trail rides. I have been a jeep enthusiasts almost my entire life. But I have to say the influx of angry grills, space ship looking body panels, stupid wave stickers on the mirrors and now these damn ducks. I use to be you had a cool modded jeep to get a duck. Now I see people with stock jeeps with dashes full of these stupid ducks. I hate being lumped in and associated with it. Its tacky. Which is why my jeep is for sale. I'd rather just have something different than what the norm has at this point.

Not sure if you know this… but… people have been doing retarded stuff to all vehicles for a very long time. Guess you gotta buy a bike since you can’t drive a vehicle without being “lumped” into a group. Wait, people are doing dumb shit to bikes too so maybe walk? Do people do dumb shit to their shoes? Are you safe from being lumped into a group for walking?

You sold your vehicle because of what others do to theirs. That’s probably one of the dumbest reasons I’ve ever heard of for someone selling their vehicle.

I got enough trouble keeping my dash clean. I'm not gonna spend a bunch of time wristing my ducks clean.

Good for them, it ain't my thing.

I just have one question. And I am serious. How did you find this one thread in order to join TW and express your frustration over Jeeps and Ducks? OK, I lied, I have two questions. What vehicle are you replacing the Jeep with?

    Welcome to the club!

Unfortunately you won’t have anything different than the norm with a modded Tacoma. They’re a dime a dozen no matter where you go. BUT they are far more reliable than Jeeps, which is one of the two main reasons I bought a Tacoma. I could care less what other people do with their vehicles, I have mine built for a specific purpose and it works great.

I will say that I get the desire to have something different. It’s just very hard to do that with a Tacoma lol
