Is the 4000cc 24 valve DOHC EFI motor in my 06 DoubleCab a non-interference or interference motor?

In other words, if my timing belt breaks, will it just be a tow and belt replacement or will it be a guts out rebuild?

I thought I read somewhere that they were interference motors...but I'm not positive.

Its a timing chain so you're fine.

I think it is interference though.

OK...stupid question #3---based on my experience with motorcycles---will the chain stretch over time and get too sloppy or am I overthinking this?

Youre over thinking it. The chain is engineered to go at least 250k miles...

Relax. It's a chain, drive the hell out of it. My Landcruiser had a belt and if it would have broke I would have had a 600# box of scrap metal.[IMG] YIKES!

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
