First I've heard of this but wouldn't be surprised. I usually just squeeze or roll on the throttle and have no acceleration issues. I don't find myself in too many situations where I have to go from idle to flooring it.

On my way home from work today. I floored it from every light I was at. I tried with the A.C. on, with the ECT on and with nothing on. All produced the same results. It did however go from two hesitations down to one small hesitation. So for what ever reason, it got better as I floored it every time. I then tool it to a parking lot and floored it in reverse and it was fine, no problem. I also put it in park and reved with no problem.

No one should have to change wires or add this or add that. No one should take well it will work it self out on its own shit either. This is bull shit. And mostly is a huge safety concern. What can we do as a group or who can we write or get someone's attention on the matter? Any ideas? I've been really enjoying the truck til now.

If it was a mechanical issues, like a sensor and such, wouldn't it do it in reverse or reving it in park? I would think it would cut out then too.

    I feel a stutter on take offs 1-3 times a week on a M/T
Wasn't sure if my clutch was slipping or the engine was doing it.... If it was the clutch i should feel it every time.

It prevents it in the first place. The truck knows that it can do a burnout no matter what what wheel when in 1st gear. So if you pass a certain threshold. Lets say 75-100% then it will stutter.

Toyota sent me a survey a couple of weeks ago and I mentioned this issue, along with others, as being very unsafe in certain traffic situations.

I have a manual, and I believe it it doing what's being described in this thread.... trying to accelerate, there is a stumble at about 1500 rpm. The trucks bogs then takes off again.
