    ive been looking at all the custom sub boxes the one that fits two tens are nice. but more thump then i wanted i really like the sigle 10 inch design that fits between the seat that look like a arm rest but havent seen any for the 03s only 05 s and up does anyone know of anyone who makes it for the 03

    I've seen pictures of them when searching for ideas for my truck. It's a pain to find but if you search hard they will come up.

    found one from jl audio too expensive my tacoma has six speakers 2 tweaters and two on the front doors and 2 in the rear panels maybey im better off upgrading them im not after a thumping system just nice sound quality can i get away without a sub

    Depends on your music tastes and most importantly whether you've ever had a good sub in a car. My experience is once you have a good system with a sub its hard not to have one. For my music I need a sub and love to turn it up and actually feel my music, although not annoying my neighbors. So i'd definately reccomend trying to fit a sub in but you may be find without it depending on your tastes.

    so what are some good 10 inch subs and amps when i was in to systems it was fosgate

    I think JL Audio is pretty much at the top but brands like Fosgate, Kicker, and others are still making very good stuff. I'm running an 8" Fosgate. It was only $30 new on eBay so I went with it over JL Audio. All in all though any sub in a good box with the right amp will get you 80% of where you want. My only warning is to stay away from self powered tubes, they just don't have what it takes.
