I've seen pictures of them when searching for ideas for my truck. It's a pain to find but if you search hard they will come up.

Depends on your music tastes and most importantly whether you've ever had a good sub in a car. My experience is once you have a good system with a sub its hard not to have one. For my music I need a sub and love to turn it up and actually feel my music, although not annoying my neighbors. So i'd definately reccomend trying to fit a sub in but you may be find without it depending on your tastes.

I think JL Audio is pretty much at the top but brands like Fosgate, Kicker, and others are still making very good stuff. I'm running an 8" Fosgate. It was only $30 new on eBay so I went with it over JL Audio. All in all though any sub in a good box with the right amp will get you 80% of where you want. My only warning is to stay away from self powered tubes, they just don't have what it takes.
