This is the one I currently have for my Tacoma, it is one Memphis 10". I am thinking of putting either (2) 8's or (2) 10's in the rear doors and getting rid of the storage. Something similar to the Extreme Creations but my own version.

Not much yet, got a pretty good sound system w/ my custom sub box. Plan on adding more lights & a tool box.
Here's what I have. It is now carpeted, gotta get a shot of that...

This fits a 12" sub. the depth is a little over 5", so MOST 12" subs will work. Shoot me a note & I'll give you the lumber breakdown.

Not at all as long as everything is properly insulated. The fiberglass panels are very heavy and resist movement. I also made sure I cut the doors such that the rear boxes are a snug fit. I lined the metal openings with sound deadening material and have had no issues.

I do have some rattles at the top of the passenger side lately but that's just because I didn't do a great job with the insulation. I'll pull the panels and load them up with expanding foam one of these years. Top priority is getting the truck running first. :p

MJP2, I like the fact of thinking outside the box (no pun intended). I hadnt thought of putting speakers in the back 1/2 doors and those Pioneer flat woofers are a good choice for that. Still thinking through the right fit for my truck...

Great job on that install. How did you wire in the sub?

Those are the Extreme Kreations sub boxes. I ended up modifying the hell out of them to make them fit with my rollcage but it all turned out pretty good.

Wiring was pretty straight-forward. I extended the stock rear speaker wires and ran them to the amplifier, through a low-to-high impedance converter, splits them to 4 inputs, and run a 4-channel amplifier to power the subwoofers and mid/high speakers.

I'll upgrade the 6.5" speakers in the near future. I went cheap on those and they sound like crap but the Pioneer subs throw some nice bass.
