A completely new/rebuilt ECGS diff with 4:56 gears and ARB Airlocker was installed as a complete unit 4 weeks ago, together with a complete 4:56 rear diff. Prior to that, we believe the 4WD system was working fine, since @stairgod observed the front wheels rotating under power while he was spotting for me at Rausch. We installed at @TNT4X4 's shop and since @V5ioV was around, he stayed the whole day and helped a lot.

ECGS sent the diffs as complete units, with my cores to be sent afterwards.

When I put the truck up in the air last week, it was to replace the gear oil after 500 mile break in and to test the air locker function per ECGS. That's when I found that the the front wheels weren't rotating under normal 4WD function, but that the DS would rotate when the air locker was engaged.

Matt and Jon both agree that the DS CV and stub shaft both are fine, since the stub shaft and collar rotate when the PS tire is rotated.
The Air Locker should also be fine, because it is the only way that the DS front can be engaged and rotate under power.
Actuator is also good, since it moves from engaged to dis-engaged without any problem.

Could there be anything wrong inside the new/rebuilt clamshell?

I've stubbed my shaft a time or two. It's not fun.

Sorry about that, wasn't trying to make light, I tend to think in process, but pull the diff, there are not that many components, and many have been checked off the list as ok.

I might be looking at the pics of the actuator wrong but it looks like it's going the wrong way. It looks disengaged when you're saying its engaged.

I think you reassembled the actuator with the wrong timing on the gears.
