Cab, I am going to sell it. The other thing I am upgrading is the crossbars I am going with ones that take a larger bolt. I don't trust 1/4-20 I am either going to go with an 8mm or 10mm ones. With the bottom side of most of the bars being smooth.

I don't know what series the place I was looking at ordering didn't have them listed as series.

Yeah so either a 15 or 20 series the place that I was looking at wasn't listing them like that.

I am looking at the 3" wide ones. The fasteners that you can get with an 8mm bolt are stronger than those little 1/4" ones that prinsu uses. Granted no one that I have heard but I just like having the assurance. I think the holes that you would tap are a little larger as well so you can use a better higher strength bolt there as well.

Can you get the 1.5” x 3” Extrusion in Black Anodized? The source I linked only has this size in clear coat.

    Finished my SnugTop cap rails.

Used these 48” Proline Tracks with the optional tie downs. Thanks @Blackout14 for the suggestion.

Used matching tracks underneath (in the cap ceiling) for better load distribution and gives me bonus tied down points. Thanks @steele-taco for this suggestion.

Will switch out the provided zinc nuts and bolts to stainless hardware when I get a chance.

Stealing the inside track idea with the loops. I like that a lot. Hmmmmm gives me an idea of what my fishing yak has with bungie cords that can move or get BLOG to make something like their tacoma attic to put on it.

What length did you use? I need to add those to my cap soon. I love the idea of using one on the interior.

    48”. There was a 50” option. That would’ve worked.

    1. Measure from the leading edge of the cap up to the planned front edge of your track. I found the leading edge is best for measuring since it is an abrupt edge (~80 degrees.) The trailing edge of the cap is way too rounded to get an accurate measurement.

    2. Make sure you don’t drill/fasten through the honeycomb reinforcement of the roof (if you have it.) It may compromise the roof’s structural integrity, according to some peeps.

    3. Mark and drill first hole. It should be the leading edge hole. Drill perpendicular to the roof, insert the bolt and attach the leading edge of the top rail through the fiberglass cap and then into the interior rail and loosely fasten.

    4. Measure, mark and drill the trailing edge hole. Tighten both front and trailing edge nuts and bolts. The fiberglass roof is now sandwiched between two rails.

    5. Drill through the remaining rail holes. Be careful and make sure you drill through the top rail hole and into the bottom rail hole. You DONT want to create a new hole in the bottom rail.

    6. Pay daughter twenty bucks for hanging out in the cold to turn the bolts.
