Subs really love air space. The Polk's I have now could really do work in a much bigger box, .7 cubes per sub would be about perfect, but I like having them behind the seat so I just deal with it.

You can put some decent subs in the cubby holds under the rear seats a few people are running subs this way.

It'll fit under the drivers seat. It's tight but fits.

Nope. It's all the way under the seat. I'll snap a pic when I get home if I think about it.

Are you happy with your polk mm series subs? I am looking at getting a one polk mm1240 12" sub and putting it on the passenger side in a custom box and feeding it bout 500rms watts. Think it will work and sound good?

For what its worth....I have the B-8pt in an 07 double cab behind the back seat on the drivers side. I also have the JBL factory sub. The B-8pt sounds better then the JBL sub. And with the adjustable bass control of the B-8pt I turn up or down the amount of bass depending on the music I listen to. I listened to the sub with the back seat folded up and down. When down there is no reflection for the sub to fire against and I lost bass. Seat up the bass sounds great. Seat opened just a little was even better but that looks funny and of course it wont stay there. to the OP i'd pull the trigger and buy it. Most who have this sub like it and I sure do. After the sub has had some time to break in ..it really comes alive. It's impressive at first, but it really does get better as you use it. Hope this helps.

I pulled the trigger and love it. All my concerns about it being muffled by the rear seat were totally unfounded. Even with the seat up, there is more than adequate passages for the air to move into the main cabin.

I also came up with a pretty novel way to secure it against the back wall of the storage bin. When I have some time, I might do a little write-up.

From personal experience, folding the seat up/down does make a noticeable difference. As for feeling the bass vs hearing it; i've got 2 12" 400w and i can really hear the bass more than feel it. In my dad's Titan the sub is mounted under the driver seat so you feel it more than hear it which is really annoying. Music is all audio, i'd rather hear it than feel it.
