It might taste like bacon but does it have the texture and smell!!

Reminds me of a trip we did in boyscouts. Cooked like 20 pounds of bacon over a fire. We smelled like bacon for the next couple of days. Our tshirts had a pretty much permanent smell of bacon to them.

One week from today we'll be starting this awesome trip, finally setting in! So after meeting up today and talking with some others we will be going as one group of 6 trucks.. Yes its a bigger group but its most ideal to be together in case something were to happen. If we have to we can split up camp if we can't find anything big enough.

Meeting Location: We will be meeting up Saturday morning 10am at the Elk City ranger station,
416 Usfs Dr Elk City, ID. I think that will be a good place to spend the night Friday night, get last minute things at the grocery store that morning and meet back up there. If not there, by looking at google earth there are FS roads right next to it that should be open.

Ill be leaving here early to take my time to get over there since its an 8.5 hour drive for me.

Sounds great man, can't wait for this trip! Gonna be epic!

Also, I got my cab mount chopped, and Jarred got his AAL in no problem.

    Sounds like a plan!

Getting more and more excited! Got the compressor mounted up and wired. Just waiting on some quikfists for my DIY tool mounts. Jerry cans should be here tuesday.

Last big thing to do is get the 285's mounted. Dont think ill have time to do the CMC though but shouldnt be an issue for this trip (i hope)

This is a nice change of plans (single group). We can be efficient. Always good to have another person who appreciates vodka.

Is it all us dudes or is anyone bringing family along?

Cool. Did we mention bringing a fire extinguisher anywhere on this thread? I'll bring one at least.

Are you guys bringing much in the way of guns and such?

Fire extinguisher is a good idea, i know Jerrad has one. I'm just bringing my 9mm and my 12ga. I dont know if we'll be able to shoot anywhere tho.

Ill have my 5lb dry chemical and a small one pound "foam" extinguisher. Will also have my shovel which can be just as useful :)

Permit wise....i didnt see anything listed but hopefully Brian can confirm. I did however notice this posted July 19th

I know ill have my axe with me. Could try to borrow a chainsaw from my dad if think we need one (unless someone else has one)

As for guns....i might be a couple. Cant bring the fun ones (SBR) cause its out of state. But can bring the suppressors! Ill for sure have my 45 (carry gun) and my 12 gauge. Other than that no real plans. Can bring the other hosts (223, 300blk, 9mm, 22) if people want. Just wish i could bring the SBR to bring the 458socom and 300blk sbr

I suppose if we are all meeting at the Ranger station, we can confirm if any permits are required. No?

Alright Nick :) I'll throw my AR-15 into the back seat as well. Have to be prepared!

Just booked my room at the hotel in Elk City. I won't be arriving until late (after 10PM) so I don't have any hope of setting up camp. If this is anything like the big trip last year, it will be an epic adventure.

I'm also bringing a spare CV axle, impact wrench, the aforementioned propane fire pit, bunch of recovery gear and a midget.
