Exactly what I'm considering! Climb Saturday, wheel Sunday. But weather is still unknown.

It’s both the best time of year and the worst time of year for primitive camping. Wear bright colors and make lots of noise.

or wear camo and bring your hunting licence. Making lots of noise might get you shot by some of the hill-billies

    :angrygirl:

Busy on the 24th so won't be able to get there early on the 25th. And then heading out into the woods of new england the week later so that's just too much driving :(

Green Mountain National Forest, free first come first serve.

Not sure about the seasons though and when it closes. @BadDNA might know, he brought us through there and then I think kipped up for a night later on there. Looks like it would be about an hour away, much easier than 6.

Serious note, Northern Zone deer opens this weekend in NY and that area and a lot of primative camping "free" sites will be mostly taken up friday night.

I will be hunting about 40 minutes west of there. I would guess they wouldn't be fond of firearms on their property.

I think if you try to take a deer on their property they will have something to say. But I don’t think there is much of a problem with a rifle in a case in the back seat. It’s not like they are doing inspections.

    I'm about 99% in.
I don't work on Friday, so we are hoping to be up that way by late afternoon to find a camp spot. Have a few places in VT scoped out as a backup, or might just go straight there.

Dude those look awesome, what wheels are they?

Side note, I think I agree that Harvest Moon has better cider donuts than Salingers... I didn't want to agree at first though
