Super Tech Air Filter same as OEM

    So I ordered a new Super Tech engine air filter from Walmart a few days ago and it arrived today. I went to put it in and noticed that it was the same exact Denso filter as the one that the dealer put in the truck. Has anyone else noticed this? I believe I paid $12 or $13 for the Super Tech, so it seems a little bit cheaper to go this route.

    no but that's cool, SUPER TECH doesn't have an air filter for the 2.7l engine tho unfortunately

    this is true the DENSO 17801-0c040 is a made in USA filter for the 2.7l engine and the DENSO replacement grade model 143-3007 for the same engine is made in China, the better quality one is the US made version

    I bought an AC Delco air filter once for an '06 Toyota Avalon. Opened the box and out came the exact same filter sold at the Toyota dealer.
