Won’t lie It was a slight pain to fish through using the wires wrapped together as they come from BD. I got some through that way by just forcing It but after two I just stripped away some of the outer jacketing and just fished the power/ground wires themselves until I could grab them behind the housing then pulling wire through with jacketing was easier. But in all It was a pretty simple install. Thanks for great product the housing fits the BD lights so well. Very happy

Others have posted to this, but I'll give the quick rundown:
    1) Open rear doors and pull down on the door seal where it overlaps the roof and rear upper areas.
    2) Pop open the SRS covers on the rear upper pillars and remove the single bolt behind it.
    3) These panels come out by simply snapping in place. They have two lower tabs that insert into hidden slots in the back of the lower panel. Pull out enough that you can disengage these to remove and move this panel out of the way.
    4) Remove the access panels on the coat hooks and ohshit handles. Remove the metal insert (compress together and pull outward). Remove these items and put to the side.
    5) The headliner is now lose enough to drop down and give you sufficient access. for the rest of the steps.
    6) Open the rear sliding window.
    7) Get up in the bed and reach through the open window and into the gap between the headliner and the roof itself.
    8) The two nuts (deep socket, 1/4 drive works well) are inside a round hole, right where the pictures show they are. The long stud will protrude and guide you/the socket.
    9) Remove and begin the glorious process of cleanup/install/re-assembly.
    10) Cold beer - be proud of yourself for not completely screwing that up.

Dome light? I didn't mess with that. Not sure where else you would be referring to.

Yes. For me it allowed me a few more inches of wiggle room.

I've got a 3rd gen Access Cab. I will control the middle (white) light of a @mesojdm BD3 as a cargo light using a double cab "Off-Door-On" switch that I will be installing per this thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...s-using-double-cab-cargo-light-switch.436440/

This will require that I install and route the switched hot cargo light wire from the relay (IE1-pin 14) up to the BD3 (the wire is absent in an AC). Any advice on the routing of this wire up to the headliner position would be appreciated.

Route it along under the door sill cover plates with the factory wire all the way to the C-pillar then do what the others are doing to drop the rear portion of the headliner, so you’ll have the C-pillar plastics apart and can then run the wire up to the roof and over to the 3rd brake light, securing your wire along the way.

It’s the same routing scheme I’ll be doing on my 2nd gen.

Door sill plates are just snapped in place and pop off.

I think he might be out of town this week, but he will definitely get back to you. I got my lights from him and the customer service he provided was top notch.

I'll be cutting mine off this weekend and I can send it to you if you want to cover the shipping. No need to send me the Ultimate dome light for something I am planning on throwing away.
